L'album "Shoot From The Hip" fut accompagné d'un petit changement chez Sophie. Petit changement peut etre mais un choc pour certains. Sophie est désormais blonde.

Virgin : Do blondes have more fun?
Sophie Ellis-Bextor: "Yeah! I think they do, although nobody seems to like my new blonde hair."
Virgin : I like it lots.
Sophie Ellis-Bextor: "Yes, so do I, I think it looks great."
Virgin : So it is staying?
Sophie Ellis-Bextor: "Yeah, I am having fun as a blonde, it is always good to change things and I had been dark for a long time."
Virgin : I think we should go out on the town to see if blondes really do have more fun.
Sophie Ellis-Bextor: "Ok that sounds cool."
